Wednesday night’s “points-blown” standings update

Two points “awarded” for every loss, one point for every OTL/SOL. Lowest point total is best. In parentheses are the official (ESPN) rankings.

  1. Calgary 15 (3)
  2. Chicago 15 (2)
  3. San Jose 16 (1)
  4. Colorado 22 (4)
  5. Los Angeles 22 (5)
  6. Nashville 22 (6)
  7. Detroit 22 (10)
  8. Phoenix 23 (7)
  9. Dallas 23 (9)
  10. Columbus 23 (8)
  11. Vancouver 24 (11)
  12. St. Louis 25 (12)
  13. Minnesota 27 (15)
  14. Anaheim 28 (13)
  15. Edmonton 30 (14)

Changed totals are in bold. Colorado and Nashville both picked up “loser” points, which makes their points total go up on ESPN, but means they’ve each blown a point in my book. And this is my site. Take that. Colorado, LA, Nashville and Detroit are in a four-way tie for 4th place. Most importantly, three losses separate 4th place from 14th. Add a fourth loss, and you win the Taylor Hall Sweepstakes.
