the three things are...

WHAT EVERY TEAM NEEDS!!!

;)

...not to mention

~ a REALLY fast top-6 forward who can back the D off.
&
~ a REALLY nasty D-man who the opposition does NOT want to go to the net around.

:)

peace!

re schenn and loktionov

I totally agree. I took the "3 things" to mean needs that can be addressed from within or via trade.

The second-line center is potentially in the system already (Schenn or Loktionov) so I agree that it's the #4 "thing". I have a feeling that Lombardi would prefer that the crusty vet play defense. #1 on your list is something that most other teams in the NHL need as well. They're hard to find, and usually you have to create another hole to fill that need.

I agree with those. I actually think Biron might be a nice get a back-up. Him or Rollie from the Isles. As for second line center, I guess it depends what you think a second line center should do. For some its defensive responsibility and checking the other team's best line. In that case Zeus fits the bill great. If its secondary scoring the Kings don't have a great option but a good one with Stoll. I'm holding out for Schenn as a second-liner with Kopi for years and years and years.
