Why does this headline bug me?

By
April 8, 2012

“Kings Must Face Best after Blowing Lead” That’s the headline of Lisa Dillman’s article tonight. I think it bugs me because “the best” was not determined until a few minutes before it was determined who the best would be playing. St. Louis could easily have turned out to be “the best.” So it’s Vancouver....

Stat I Have to Look Up

By
April 7, 2012

The number of times the Kings have entered the third period with a lead and given up a goal in the first minute. It feels like that’s happened about (as I recently heard an animated aardvark say) eleventy ka-billion times. Evernote lets you save all the interesting things you see online into a single...

Apparently, Ryane Clowe is some kind of evil genius

By
April 5, 2012

I refer of course to Ryane Clowe’s somewhat — er — controversial poke check from the bench during the Kings’ late third period power play in tonight’s game (which is actually still happening). The reason I don’t think he’s just a moron (he may be a moron, but as far as this action is...
