exactly right! the commentary is so overboard right now. At least NBC added a CBC castoff to help balance the drivelling must-over-explain-every-play-so-the-masses-unerstand-hockey announcing from the Edddie O’s and McGuires….

I tend to take a middle position — that this post-season represents an evolutionary stage for this team, no matter what happens today and after. We’ve seen some favorable developments — particularly, Brown leading from the front consistently and effectively — that bode well for the future. The core of the team is still young enough to keep playing at this level or higher for at least several more years. The overall plan is still valid, still working.
