Finally...quality hockey. Night after night. Its been ten, no, twenty years coming. This post season, wow! Thanks Dean.

Next, sorry Shane, maybe next season you get Bourqued and they pack your ancient ass off somewhere where you can compete for the cup.

Being a Kings fan is a funny preoccupation that can have far reaching psychological consequences. Like many "veteran" fans before the first Phoenix game I remained in my Kings beat down shell. I OCDed over '82 fail when, LA simply needed to best a mediocre Vancouver team (split the season) and the cup round led thru a very beatable Chicago.

The Coyotes had all the makings of '82 Vancouver--which I attribute to "recurring LAK anxiety symptom". But today the sun came out and the nightmares a distant memory borne like old scars proudly displayed. At the 13 minute mark of the 1st the Kings wrested this game from Phoenix's grasp, breaking the spill. The curse of the stick is nearing extinction.

One victory and its not just playing for the cup but also a rare moment in hockey to witness the heroic; rising from the ashes of a nearly lost season to beat the top three teams in the league in one playoff year with one sweep in the bag and anther in the making. The stars are aligning for LA Fans.

A ride worth waiting for. Quality hockey worth the investment. Thanks, Mr. Lombardi.

I do not like the Shane Doan. So likely my bias will show but...

Doan has and always will be a dirty player. Granted, I think Brown can be kind-of dirty at times. But Doan is flat out dangerously dirty. Never a fan of his and never will be. This old guard thing is tired. Doan isn't a generational talent. He's a step above a third-liner.

I (now living in PHX) have seen plenty of Shane Doan over the last 4 years. Playing the Kings or anyone else, Dude is an idiot out on the ice. He is, however, the best cherry picker the Coyotes have. LOL

He's grasping at anything he can to change his fate. I love how everyone is piling onto obvious desperate comments like these. I'm not a big Pierre McGuire fan but I do like this one: "I think they realize they can’t compete on paper and they can’t compete on ice. I think the inevitability factor’s kicking in and that’s a tough place to be if you’re Phoenix."

Um, I'm pretty sure none of the "experts" picked the Kings in the 1st or 2nd round either. I usually sympathize with the old-guard/never won a cup guys. EVEN Selanne (don't kill me). But Doan? Nuh-uh.
