I still don’t see how it makes the Kings better to trade Bernier for picks or a prospect when it’s pretty likely Jonathan Quick is going to need to face fewer pucks next season. It’s not like the Kings have a burning need at position x and must use Bernier as part of a big package. And if it’s picks we’re talking about, why not wait until next trade deadline? The 2013 draft is a year away.
