[...] With the Devils losing Zach Parise to the Minnesota Wild, do the Devils need to bite at the chance to sign Shane Doan if he decides to leave the Coyotes?

Doan is reportedly asking for as close to a 4 year – 30 million dollar contract which is quite a lot, even for him. Still, if the Devils feel they need the scoring presence in the absence of Parise, would you want the Devils to reach out to Doan and try to reach an agreement?

YES! MAKE IT HAPPEN! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!

p.s. $7.5 million a year for four years for SHANE DOAN? Har-de-har-har. If that’s the case — and I hope it is — the chances of him signing with the Kings is exactly and unequivocally zero.

      Assuming that report is true, the only explanation that makes sense to me is that he still really wants to re-up with the Coyotes, but if someone makes him a crazy-favorable offer like that, it’s worth it to take the money/security and leave Phoenix.
