I remember Roenick's comments on Versus at the time ("gutless"). At the time, struck me as a personal issue between Roenick and Marleau that probably should have stayed in the locker room. It was tacky for Roenick to air that out on national television in his capacity as a commentator.

Hipocrites never have credibility. I really hate listening to this guy. He seems like the consumate dick.

Nice poll. I voted for Rick Tocchet, Dan Cloutier, Sean Avery, Rob Blake, Grant Fuhr, Jeremy Roenick, and Anson Carter. Here's why:

Tocchet: The Kings traded Robitaille for him (and Pavel Rosa woo-hoo). Robitaille should never have been traded at all.

Cloutier: I don't think an explanation is needed. Though he did win the one game I saw him play live for the Kings, in Columbus, February 2008.

Avery: racist piece of shit was a total embarrassment to the franchise and the league

Blake: For me, this is both times. In his first outing with the Kings, his BS contract demands showed what an egotistical jerk he was, but at least trading him brought Deadmarsh and Miller to the Kings. At the same time, the nail in the coffin was facing his Avs in the 2nd round that year and just failing to pull off the upset. In his second tenure, he clearly didn't care anymore and was just there for the paycheck.

Fuhr: McMaster traded one of my favorite Kings ever, Alex Zhitnik, to get him and then Fuhr proceed to go 1-7-3 in 14 games with a GAA over 4. The Kings missed the playoffs by one point, so had he been anything but terrible they would have at least made it into the postseason (where, I will grant you, they'd have been slaughtered by Detroit) and perhaps Gretzky would not have been so keen to ask for a trade the next season.

Roenick: All the things Quisp said. What a douche. Roenick, that is. Not Quisp. Quisp is awesome.

Carter: He was acquired to help an injury-plagued team stumble into the playoffs. Instead they set a team record for losing streaks (I went to 3 of those damn games too. Carter's contribution? 1 assist in 15 games. Wow.

The only reason I didn't include Kevin Stevens is because Dave Taylor was able to pawn him off on New York to bring Lucky back.
