Just read the Mayor’s interview with him, in which he says (I am quoting from memory, so call it a paraphrase), we’re a team first organization and we just got our first win. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. What’s he referring to? Putting him back in the line-up.
I thought he had a pretty good game on opening day. Yes, in game two he got that penalty that led to a goal-against, and coughed up the puck a couple of times, in the Frolov tradition. But I loved Fro, too.
I am still pretty confident Penner will have a good year. And yet, Gagne looked good in the last game. And Clifford is playing way above his pay grade. King has been solid. In my opinion, the weakest player on the left side has been the other Dustin, but that will work itself out in time. No, I’m not bashing the captain. But with Brown, Clifford, King, Gagne and Penner on the left, something’s got to give. You can’t sustain that kind of salary in the press box for long, without it becoming a pretty big elephant in the room.
