THE ENABLERS: Ducks gives away loser point to Avs.
THE JUST PLAIN ODD: with yesterday’s win, the Kings climb to 5-2-2 in games that don’t count in their season series.
THE EX-KINGS:Matt Moulson scores his 10th goal; Andrei Loktionov gets another assist (1g, 2a, 4 games) and played 15 minutes; Thomas Hickey makes a great save when his goalie is beat; Teddy Purcell adds an assist (4g, 13a); Mike Weaver gets beat up by Milan Lucic.
THE FUTURE KINGS: Tyler Toffoli now leads the AHL in goals, with 26, and this is especially amazing since most of those goals (20) are even-strength (the other top AHL scorers get closer to half of their goals on the power-play; Toffoli was an even-strength monster in juniors, too); Michael Mersch (Wisconsin Badgers) is 7th in the nation in goals (17); Nic Dowd (St. Cloud State) is 24th in the nation in points (32).
THE KINGS’ FUTURE: tomorrow’s games — Ducks@Kings, Oilers@Hawks, Stars@Preds.
