Gaborik’s good, but he’s not that good

Mostly well-deserved praise for Marian Gaborik, with just one small problem.

Kings Start the Stranglehold | INSIDE HOCKEY

[T]he Ducks won everything but the final score. So what happened? Well once again, Marian Gaborik happened. That is, he burst in with under half a minute gone in the game and roofed one behind Jonas Hiller […].The speed with which Gaborik closed on the net reminded one of what he’d done against Dallas a week ago when he burst across the ice from left to right and put the slickest backhand I’ve ever seen up over Lehtonen’s head.

Yes, that was awesome when the Kings beat the Stars last round.

Man, Lehtonen didn’t know what hit him when Gaborik put the puck perfectly on the top shelf above his head

That’s what happens when let someone get a shot off in section 116, row R. And he used that peanut vendor to screen his shot perfectly, too.

Definitely. That was the sickest Gabo goal I’ve seen since he beat Osgood up-high in game six, 2001.

You know I was at that game at Staples, the last game of the year. I had no idea that was the Stars and Lehtonen in goal. Someone must have spiked my beer.
