Dale Hunter, Back with the London Knights

The Knights — the team Drew Doughty did training camp with this past fall — play the Shawinigan Cataractes in the Memorial Cup Championship game tomorrow (Sunday) at 4pm (Pacific Time) on NHL Network. Bonus question: why are the Cataractes cataractes? OHL Network – Hunter Shifts to Eye in Sky for Knights It’s not often…

2011-2012 Kings Prospects Scoring, Adjusted

Since you already have 59 different places to go for traditional team stats, I decided to do something different. A few years back, behindthenet calculated conversion multipliers to be used to “translate” scoring stats from one league into equivalent NHL numbers. The idea being, for example, that one goal in NCAA is the rough equivalent, in terms of difficulty of 0.41 goals in the NHL. People from Anaheim are not allowed to make fun of the Valley. I’m sure you’re aware that Anaheim is technically a part of the Greater Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. You’re a suburb. You’re the Valley but farther away. I’m not sure, but I think you might be the Valley, to the Valley.

Kings Pre-Game: POINT/COUNTERPOINT

Remember how the Kings used to blow those big leads going into the third? Those days are over. OVER! Remember when the Kings would score a goal only to give one up ten seconds later? Or give up a goal and then give up another one right away, just to make their hole a little deeper? NO MORE! Remember when the Kings would freak out at home like kindergarteners at the school play? Distant, fondly-recalled memories of our youth!

A BETTER GUIDE TO HATING THE KINGS

In the spirit of friendship, and because this whole thing is probably about to go to hell in a hand-basket, and because Chuck Berry is from St. Louis and Chuck Berry is Rock and Roll, I thought I would lend a hand in completing the guide to Kings hating put together by SB Nation’s St.…
